Description / Expertise

Sientje (or Siementje) Tadema was Alma-Tadema's cousin, the daughter of Zacharias Jeltes Tadema and Klaaske Canter Visscher. She came to Alma-Tadema's home town Leeuwarden the medieval town in 1851 to teach music. It was under her guidance that Alma-Tadema developed his talent and passion for music.
